NatuA designs jewellery are inspired by stunning and wild New Zealand. Each design is handcrafted by Alena Kormanik.

Alena is originally from the Czech Republic, where she studied journalism but she always had a passion for art. Alena has been making jewellery since her early teen years. She fell in love with pottery after a brief period working as an art and pottery teacher. She is fascinated by the unique variables and the neverending possibilities implemented in combining different materials and techniques.

Alena´s jewellery are all unique. She´s proficient in low and high firing porcelain and ceramics. She´s also dabbled in Raku firing and Alena keeps her skills sharp with a homebuilt kiln that she uses for wood firing. She´s always keen to learn new techniques and experiment with new materials to further her craft. Alena believes that every place on Earth has a unique energy and she attempts to translate that through her jewellery.
