What is Raku?
Raku is an ancient ceramic firing technique where pieces are taken glowing-hot directly from the kiln and placed into container filled with combustible materials like sawdust or leaves. As the smoke and flames react with the hot glaze and raw clay, they create metallic lusters, rich earthy tones, and unpredictable crackle patterns that make every single creation one of a kind.
